Position Overview:

The Shipping Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager with daily duties, including working side by side with the Shipping Team Leaders and Shipping team to ensure orders are processed and shipped timely and accurately.  This position will be responsible for following shipping and routing guidelines along with ensuring Allen Company follows best shipping practices for the safe and timely arrival of product.

 

 

Core Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities

  • Makes procedural, process, or employee related decisions and executes those decisions in a timely manner.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process and procedural changes that enhance quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce cost
  • Takes the lead on special projects and follow-through to completion
  • Delegates workload appropriately among the team as well as follows up on completion
  • Fosters team development by leading and training employees with company processes, procedures and policies
  • Responsible for interviewing, evaluating and selecting new team members
  • Makes recommendations and assists in new hire recruitment and orientation

  • Ensure all orders are labeled and packed in accordance of customer instructions and meeting or exceeding industry labeling, packaging and shipping standards
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all shipping clerk functions and duties
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy as well as physical and cycle counting as needed

Position Overview:

Product Specialist will support the Product Development department and work with the product managers on various projects. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining product specification documentation for all products: Creation, final specifications, final approval samples, and product revision tracking. The Product Specialist will interact with many departments as well as oversee document control for each product sku and post design specific details for all products. Please note this is not a graphic or product design position but these skill sets are required for product enhancement during document control/revisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain sku workbook for all products
  • Create and maintain document control for each product sku, which will aid in QC processes, procurement, and customer service needs, as well as domestic and international supplier standards
  • Assist Product Development Director in creating and maintaining trackers and specification standards for NPD projects
  • Support product managers and designers in creating and updating product specifications for sample development and NPD process
