Position Overview:

The Shipping Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager with daily duties, including working side by side with the Shipping Team Leaders and Shipping team to ensure orders are processed and shipped timely and accurately.  This position will be responsible for following shipping and routing guidelines along with ensuring Allen Company follows best shipping practices for the safe and timely arrival of product.

 

 

Core Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities

  • Makes procedural, process, or employee related decisions and executes those decisions in a timely manner.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process and procedural changes that enhance quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce cost
  • Takes the lead on special projects and follow-through to completion
  • Delegates workload appropriately among the team as well as follows up on completion
  • Fosters team development by leading and training employees with company processes, procedures and policies
  • Responsible for interviewing, evaluating and selecting new team members
  • Makes recommendations and assists in new hire recruitment and orientation
  • Responsible for writing and administrating annual reviews, as well as providing continuous feedback throughout the year
  • Positively recognizes team to motivate performance and boost morale
  • Takes the lead on corrective action in employee behavior, inappropriate work habits, policy deviation or misconduct
  • Collaborates with managers on progressing employee issues including Process Improvement Plans
  • Navigates a process improvement plan (PIP) for team members by setting expectations and providing meaningful coaching with feedback
  • Recommends corrective action in employee behavior, actions, or work habits and report any misconduct or policy deviation to Warehouse Manager
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment

  • Documents, maintains and enforces SOPs for all areas of responsibility
  • Maintains correct inventory and usage of materials in Epicor
  • Ensures FIFO inventory

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage all documents, such as bills of lading, packing slips, certificates of origin, NAFTA, and other documents as needed
  • Supervise the pulling, packing and palletizing of orders accurately for on time shipment & delivery
  • Ensure all orders are labeled and packed in accordance of customer instructions and meeting or exceeding industry labeling, packaging and shipping standards
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all shipping clerk functions and duties
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy as well as physical and cycle counting as needed
  • Prepare and ship merchandise in a fast paced warehouse environment
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • Must have 2 to 3 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.  Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese or Nepali a plus excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, typing and data entry
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to multitask numerous projects and responsibilities

Position Summary:

The VP of Sales & Marketing will report directly to the President and is responsible for the leadership and direction of all sales and marketing functions for the company. This role will be responsible to design, execute and direct all sales and marketing strategies, policies, and programs for company products.  This position will drive the overall direction and management of all sales, with a focus on business planning and revenue objectives. This position is responsible for the overall marketing strategy of the company, including branding, and implementing these plans with internal and external resources.  The VP of Sales and Marketing will be part of the executive management team to help develop and execute future growth plans, as well as perform a direct sales role for key accounts and represent the company to the industry.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Executive Team to determine organizational goals and translate to sales goals, lead planning, strategy and market development
