This case fits my Winchester safari rifle with scope and sling no problem. The big front pockets holds a box of safari ammo perfect and the other pouches hold tools I use to tighten the actions screws or scope mounts. This soft case has thick padding.

So… This case actually saved my rifle and scope. I left the woods and had left my rifle on the top of my SUV. I didn’t realize it until I was traveling down the highway at 65mph and it fell off. I was so worried my rifle would have a bent barrel, broken stock, and broken scope because this is a 10+lb wood and blued rifle. When I opened the case I was ecstatic. The barrel had a very tiny rub mark near the muzzle but not even scratches. It only rubbed through the bluing slightly. The stock has a hairline crack at the very end of the forearm, and the scope had some road rash on the corner of the windage knob that was a pressure point while sliding down the road.

I took it to the range and the scope had shifted zero but was still shooting tiny groups and was easy to bring back on target and is good to go.

No scratches on the rifle and you wouldn’t notice the minor cosmetic damage unless you really looked it over good. Some of the fabric on the pockets wore through, but not to the main body of the case. The case is still in great condition except for a shredded pocket on the outside. This case saved me roughly $1700.
